In der Seaforms-Serie verk\u00f6rpert der K\u00fcnstler seine \u00fcber Jahrzehnte gesammelten Sinneserfahrungen und Erlebnisse im Wasser. \u201cIch hatte schon immer Freude an der Natur, dem Meer \u2013 so fing ich an die Seaforms-Serie zu entwerfen\u201c, sagt Behrens, \u201eWir entstehen aus der Natur und wir enden in ihr. Diesen Kreislauf mache ich mir immer wieder bewusst.\u201c Die daraus entstandenen Arbeiten wirken wie Erzeugnisse der Natur, wild gewachsen und mittendrin erstarrt. Das Nat\u00fcrliche wird einerseits durch die \u00e4u\u00dfere Gestalt und andererseits durch die f\u00fcr Behrens\u2018 Werk charakteristischen Detailelemente bestimmt: die feine Modellierung von Teilfl\u00e4chen und Kanten, das Wechselspiel von matten und polierten Oberfl\u00e4chen und die zellartigen Strukturen.<\/p>\n
