Behrens\u2019 erste Werkreihe ist eine Extraktion aus Sinneseindr\u00fccken und Beobachtungen \u201eUnderwater\u201c. Ihre Anziehungskraft wird auf einnehmende, aber nicht plakative Weise in Objekten teils monumentaler Ausma\u00dfe verk\u00f6rpert. Auf den zweiten Blick offenbart sich dem Betrachter eine vierte Dimension, die der Lebendigkeit in der Tiefe der Werke Raum gibt. Die transparenten Oberfl\u00e4chen lassen Licht von allen Seiten eindringen, so dass sich bewegende Linien, beinahe rhythmische Farbschattierungen und innere Reflexe zum Vorschein kommen. Das f\u00fcr Behrens zu diesem Zeitpunkt erst seit kurzem vertraute Material wird erforscht, die autodidaktische F\u00e4higkeit sticht hervor. Schon zu diesem fr\u00fchen Zeitpunkt des k\u00fcnstlerischen Schaffens finden mehrere Werke ihren Weg in \u00f6ffentliche Sammlungen.<\/p>\n
