Mit der Evolution-Serie stellt sich Behrens konzeptuell sowie bildhauerisch der Auseinandersetzung mit der gestalterischen Kraft der Natur und formuliert Fragen nach ihrer Begrenztheit und Endlichkeit.\n\u201eWir entstehen aus der Natur und wir enden in ihr. Diesen Kreislauf mache ich mir bewusst\u201c, sagt Behrens. Er scheint seine bisherige Formsprache auf einen neuen Weg zu bringen \u2013 eine Konsequenz jahrelanger bildhauerischer T\u00e4tigkeit. Die \u00e4u\u00dferen Formen basieren auf stilisierten Ringen, deren Querschnitte selbst verschiedene Geometrien annehmen und deren Oberfl\u00e4chen durch eingeschliffene Strukturen sowie ausdrucksstarke Reliefs partiell aufgebrochen werden. Die \u00e4u\u00dfere und innere Form auf diese Weise betonend, werden Dynamik und Balance in der Skulptur vereint. Es entsteht so ein von Spannung gepr\u00e4gtes Wechselspiel zwischen der symbolisierten Unendlichkeit und dem explosiven Aufbegehren.<\/p>\n
